The Eye and The Mind Society seeks to raise the profile of psychological understanding in patients’ eye care. This includes people with psychosomatic eye disorders and people suffering from trauma or sight loss.
Membership is open to professionals with an interest in promoting emotional understanding in people suffering from visual disorders.

Professor Pete Coffey of The London Project to Cure Blindness is carrying out ground-breaking research into the use of stem cells in restoring sight in some cases of Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
